Our Faith in Christ

Our Faith in Christ

We firmly uphold the principle of local church autonomy, guided by the unshakable belief that each congregation possesses the absolute right of self-government, independent from any external hierarchy of individuals or organizations. We recognize that the one and only true Superintendent of the church is Christ Himself, working through the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. In adherence to scriptural teachings, we value the unity and collective strength of true churches, embracing cooperation in contending for the faith and advancing the Gospel's message.

Embracing the responsibility to uphold the integrity of our faith and carry out the Great Commission, we affirm that every church has the sole and exclusive authority to determine the scope and manner of its cooperation with others. As we address matters concerning membership, policies, governance, discipline, and benevolence, we acknowledge the sovereign will of the local church as the final and decisive authority.

With humility and reverence, we recognize that the Word of God serves as the unwavering foundation upon which our beliefs and practices are firmly rooted. Our commitment to the autonomy of the local church does not diminish the significance of harmonious collaboration with fellow believers. Instead, it strengthens our resolve to work in unity, promoting the message of hope and redemption found in Jesus Christ.

We endeavor to foster an environment where the Holy Spirit can lead and guide us, allowing for the flourishing of faith, the nurturing of individual gifts, and the pursuit of God's unique calling in each church member's life. As a community of believers, we hold fast to the understanding that God's sovereignty and wisdom are manifested through the collective discernment and decisions of the local church.

At Central Baptist Church, we celebrate the beauty and diversity of individual congregations united under the Lordship of Christ. Embracing the authority of God's Word, we stand firm in our conviction that the local church possesses the right to self-government, acknowledging Christ as our Superintendent, and collectively endeavoring to further His kingdom through faithful cooperation and unwavering dedication to His teachings and services. We want to provide help, support, and spiritual guidance to anyone who needs it, so please feel free to drop in if you are seeking for a new life in Christ.
